| Music Profile: Swamp Things Crawley, England UK | ||
Formed eight years ago, they've recently changed lineup and material, so if you've not seen them since 2002, there's quite a bit of catching up to do… Sweetwater and myself (Earl) saw these guys in the Reading high street in England last year and bought their CD. It’s high energy blues and rockabilly sound was strong. This bands history would play straight from the pages of the best Hollywood made Jake & Elwood Blues script. Rowdy Gangland style, moon-shine running, card playing, brothel-style debauchery with some great music that would leave the best blues-phile wanting more. Read the boys exploits on Blue Sushi radio HERE “Case Full of Money” is the name of the CD. Songs include Barrelhouse Monkey, Look who’s Been Talking, Walking on a Tightrope, Come on in My Kitchen, Cash, You Better Cut That Out, Cakewalk Blues, Badman, Rock’ n’ Roll Death Rattle, and Thankful for What You Got. At this time all CD sales for this band are done on the street level as they are an active “*Busking” band. Blue Sushi Radio will pursue all efforts to get the bands CD’s available to the U.S. and international market. If you cannot wait, BSR republishes the bands scheduled UK/Europe play date here. Swamp things lineup features: Chicken-King Schultz on drums, washboard and percussion. Dodge Cuda Jr. provides Vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, and keyboards. Lafayette Louis stand-up bass. Sometimes they are accompanied by: Hurricane Boy Floyd, Dutch Bulbfields and Slim Lightfoot. The UK is Rock’n!
